On February 7, the first energy efficiency center in Kurzeme was opened – Liepaja Energy Efficiency Center. Its aim is to educate the public about the green energy production and rational use, as well as to promote energy-efficient products and solutions, including those produced in Liepaja.
The Center’s Show Hall, located on the 4th floor of Coworking Liepaja’s premises, features specially designed exhibits of smart energy in households and industrial environments. On the 5th floor event hall has been set up, where almost every week there are educational seminars on energy efficiency.
The seminars are organized in cooperation with Elektrum, the leading electricity trader in the Baltics. Entrepreneurs and specialists from different fields educate guests on such topics as lighting, energy-efficient heating systems, e-transport, and other energy-related topics. The activity was implemented by the Green and Smart Technology Cluster, within the framework of the Cluster program (contract No. 3.2.1.1/16/A/016).
