A year has passed since Green-Tech Cluster on January 30, 2017, signed an agreement with Central Finance and Contracting Agency for the implementation of a project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund in the Cluster program for four years.

Looking back over the past year, we are sure we have moved in the right direction. We have put a lot of effort to develop a cooperation platform for promoting the development of green and smart technologies in Latvia and the Baltic Sea region. In October, we received the Bronze Label, which is a significant achievement. This assessment is a quality mark for the work done by Cluster and provides important recommendations for future development.

We are glad that during the year, the number of participants in the program has grown to 35 companies, which are more and more actively using the offerings of Cluster Programm. So far, the greatest interest has been in the exchange of practical experience and productivity enhancement (production efficiency) events and foreign visits, in which new business contacts are made to promote the export of company products. Three companies representing the E-Mobility Sector, using de minimis support, have created a new joint product – a battery management system. Other four companies of the Information and Communications Technology sector, through the Clusters program, participated in a productivity enhancement workshop of Agile and Scrum.

We also have created a modern webpage that shall provide with all the information about Cluster’s services, available support programs and funding sources, activities and planned events, as well as tell a bit more about our members.

During the previous year, the Green-Tech Cluster acquired € 80 900 from the ERDF (total € 517 680) for the promotion of entrepreneurship.

We invite you to become a member, actively participate in the activities of the Cluster and to spread initiatives in order to jointly implement them. More about support can be found here.
