Energy system is transforming – increased renewable and decentralized generation, large penetration of power electronics, increased electrification, further digitalization, increased interconection capacity and wide market integration. At the same time power system resilience and stability must remain the primary mandate of TSOs. Development of the future power system, a system that is sustainable, flexible and digitalised requires a ramp up of research, development and innovation efforts.
